Generations Day

Generations Day

Generations Day is a longstanding Redwood Day tradition of inviting grandparents, relatives, and special friends to campus to get a glimpse of what our students experience every day. Guests see musical performances, tour our learning spaces, and leave with a photo to remember the day. We are thrilled to host this event in person once again!

Schedule

12:45 - 1:15 p.m. Arrivals & Check-In (please do not arrive before 12:45 p.m.)
1:15 - 2:15 p.m. Student Performances, K - 8th Grade
2:15 - 3:15 p.m. Student-led Tours
The event ends after you take your picture. Depending on how many students you visit, you may be finished by 2:45 p.m. Please coordinate your departure with your student’s parents and guardians. Students have the following options:

  • Students can leave with a guest when the event is over.
  • Students can get picked up at the front curb at an early dismissal time.
  • Students can stay in X-Care until 6 p.m. if they are already enrolled in the program.


Important Event Information

  • The performances are held outside, weather permitting. Please bring layers. In the case of rain, we will move indoors.
  • Parking on campus is limited. If possible, please arrange to be dropped off/picked up. If you are driving, the School’s parking lots will be reserved for you, first come, first served. If there is no parking lot space available when you arrive, please park on MacArthur Blvd or Redwood Day’s side of Sheffield Ave only (NOT on Sausal nor the opposite side of Sheffield Ave).
  • Light refreshments will be offered. For a list of local lunch recommendations, please see below.
