Redwood Day’s AQI Policy
Use the table below for commonly asked questions regarding the School's plan in the event of unhealthy AQI levels:
How will the school respond to the various AQI levels?
If the AQI is in the unhealthy for sensitive groups (101-150), students with sensitivities to the air quality can opt to remain inside.
If the AQI is in the unhealthy zone (151-200), students stay indoors at all times, including X-Care.
If the AQI is in the very unhealthy zone (201-300) for more than two hours while school is in session, we will enact an early release protocol. If the AQI is in the very unhealthy zone (201-300) prior to the start of the school day, we will notify you of a school closure by 6:30 a.m. We will communicate important information via our emergency contact system.
