After-School Programs

X-Care (for grades K-5) and X-Plus (for Middle School) are designed to provide a safe and engaging place for students to interact and learn after school. We strive to provide a balance between enriching activities and free play. We regularly serve well over 140 students in our combined programs, with a student-to-staff ratio of approximately 12:1. Our supportive staff consists of a diverse group of energetic educators dedicated to providing students with a fun, safe experience. We get to know each child and build a meaningful relationship with the entire family. Read below to learn more about X-Care or X-Plus.

X-Care

X-Care is our after-school program for Lower School students (grades K-5) held daily from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. Our staff provides a warm, supportive atmosphere where community is cultivated. We provide opportunities for safe and supportive play and more structured opportunities for students to continue learning and growing. We set examples for students on how to have fun, cooperate, and share responsibility as team players. We also recognize the importance of children solving their problems and conflicts, and our team helps facilitate these social-emotional learning opportunities. We hold children responsible for their actions and behavior, thus teaching them to be caring and thoughtful people, and we offer care, guidance, and direction in this process.

Study Hall is offered Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday after school from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Teaching Assistants and X-Care staff are available to assist students with homework as needed. This is an opportunity for students to utilize a quiet space to work on their homework in an after-school setting.

X-Plus

X-Plus is our after-school program for middle school students, which is held daily from dismissal until 6:00 p.m. The middle school students have access to an indoor quiet space with access to Chromebooks to complete homework and outdoor spaces to play and socialize. All Middle School students staying after school must be signed into X-Plus at the end of the day to ensure their safety on campus. We do not bill families for students who are signed into X-Plus for athletics, office hours, Drama, or on-campus clubs. If students remain on site after those times, they will then be charged for X-Plus use.
