Join us for Redwood Day's 3rd Annual Anime Convention. Put on your best cosplay and compete in our costume contest, participate in a panel discussion, showcase your Pokémon card collection, and share your joy of Anime. This event is open to families from both middle and lower schools.
Grab a cup of coffee, tea, or your favorite beverage, and join Sanjev deSilva, Director of Equity & Belonging; John Loeser, Head of School; Marsille Reed, Director of Enrollment Management, Tony Cifra, Lower School Director; and Karina Momary, Middle School Director, for a virtual hang-out for BIPOC families.
We invite our middle school parents and guardians to join us on Thursday, March 27, as we take a fresh look at the ‘tween years (9-12 years old) through a Positive Discipline lens. This stage of development brings on new challenges as emerging adolescents navigate middle school academics, peer relationships, and changing bodies. Parents and caregivers also need to adjust their parenting perspective, tools, and how they think about their roles and goals.
This virtual event will be led by Positive Discipline Lead Trainer and Parent Coach Cathy Kawakami. Cathy's goal is to create a supportive space where people can come together to learn and practice positive parenting methods that you can put into practice right away. Learn mutually respectful solutions for raising kids to feel “I am capable, I can contribute, and I can use my personal power in useful ways to improve my life and the lives of others!”
The Fun Run/Walk is a once-around-the-lake, non-competitive community builder for Redwood Day families and friends that sets a good example of active, healthy living. Grab the kid(s), the dog(s), and your most comfy shoes and join us at Lake Merritt for this wonderful event!
